Job Overview
Our client in Surat requires an Anaesthesia Technician to support safe anaesthesia services across operating theatres and procedure areas. This role requires careful equipment preparation, close coordination with anaesthesiologists and strong awareness of patient safety before, during and after procedures.
Detailed Responsibilities
The Anaesthesia Technician will prepare anaesthesia workstations, check oxygen supply, suction, airway devices, breathing circuits, emergency drugs, monitors and other procedure-specific equipment before the start of each case. The technician will assist with patient positioning, monitoring setup, airway-equipment readiness, documentation of equipment checks and immediate support during induction, maintenance and recovery phases as directed by the anaesthesia team. After cases, the technician will clean and restock equipment, report faults to biomedical teams, maintain consumable inventory and ensure that emergency trolleys and difficult-airway equipment remain ready for use. The role requires strict infection-control practice, clear communication in theatre and careful attention to small details that can affect patient safety.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is dependable, alert and comfortable working in operating theatre and recovery environments. They should be able to anticipate anaesthesia-team requirements, respond quickly during urgent situations and maintain a clean, organised work area. Experience with major surgery, day-care procedures, obstetric theatre or ICU procedure support will be preferred.
Licensing / Registration Notes
Current BLS certification is required; ACLS and hospital anaesthesia credentialing are preferred. Candidates must provide education documents, experience records and relevant training certificates during verification.
